Dr. Chirstine holds a PhD in Linguistics, Second Language Phonological Acquisition, from University of Calgary. She is a faculty member of the Department of Spanish and Portuguese at UNIVERSITY OF IOWA. She is conducting her post-doctoral research at PPGI and is a member of the Núcleo de Fonética e Fonologia Aplicada à Língua Estrangeira (NUPFFALE). Her post-doc research is entitled: Inhibition, Perception and Production in an L3, and she received a research grant from her university to conduct the study. She has published her research in journals such as Studies in Second Language Acquisition, Modern Language, Bilingualism: Language and Cognition, and Canadian Modern Language Review.
